2009/2010 season started with Steve Dale moving down to U8’s breaking the long time managerial partnership with Dean Cooper, who brought in Craig Unwin to assist him.

We brought in eight new players which consisted of one from Rotherham school of excellence, one from MK Dons Academy, and the rest coming from various A division clubs, in a hope to strengthen the squad for the forth coming season.

This looked to be the case after an outstanding pre season, in which the new squad played a hat full of games and were unbeaten with the exception of two narrow defeats which came against Boston Academy U14’s and Sheffield Rangers U14’s.

The highlight of the pre season was a 2-0 victory over arch rivals Junior Blades which was played at Hillsborough before the Akpo Sodje charity game in front of approximately 1500 fans which took place on the full size pitch.
