Sheffield Wednesday Young Owls Annual General Meeting
Please inform, by issue of this memorandum, the parents/guardians of your players that the 2010 AGM is to be held on 27th July 2010 at the Trades & Labour Club, City Road, Sheffield.
The meeting will open at 19.00.
The Chair will be taken by: Mr. Frank Hayes.
The business to be conducted will be as follows:-
- To receive any apologies
- Agree and approve the minutes of the last meeting.
- To agree any proposed nominees for election onto the committee
- To consider any re-elections of the current committee
- To receive the chairman’s report
- To receive the Treasurer’s report including 2009/10 cost
- To agree any resolutions
- AOB
Any questions are to be put in writing to Secretary - Mrs Lesley Bradley, 13 Hunshelf Road, Chapletown, Sheffield S35 1UF 2 weeks before (27th July 2010) the AGM.
Unless away on holiday, we would ask that all teams parents and managers/treasurers attend and notice should be given of approximate number to the Secretary before the 20th July 2010.

In order that we can ensure you have fully read the SWYO constitution, we ask that you attend the AGM in order that your signature can be witnessed by a member of the committee.

Young Owls qualified Goalkeeper Coach
Young Owls JFC are pleased to introduce their qualified Goalkeeper Coach, Chris Stubbs.
Chris Stubbs is 47 and was born in Liverpool. Chris currently works as a Community Officer for Sheffield Wednesday FC and he also works at Sheffield Wednesday’s Academy in their Development Programme.
Chris has the following qualifications:
- Level 1 Coaching
- Level 2 Coaching
- Level 1 Goalkeeping
- Level 2 Goalkeeping
- Module 1 + 2 FA Award
Chris is currently working towards his UEFA ‘B’ Licence and plans to take take UEFA ‘B’ Goalkeeping in 2011.
Chris will be running Saturday coaching sessions for all Young Owls goalkeepers throughout the year.
Goalkeeping sessions will recommence during the summer once all the 2010 trials are over.

Young Owls announce dates and venues for the Season Trials 2010
All Young Owls teams are looking for new players for the 2010/11 season. Trials will commence Friday 4th June 2010. Additional trials should be available for those missing the first trials.
Please contact the manager of your relevant age group to find out the date/time of the trials and where they are to be held. All missed calls will be returned, so please leave a message including a contact number.
Yorkshire Championship Final
Young Owls Shine in Sheffield U15’s Yorkshire Championship Victory
Darren Fairest would like to thank the following Young Owls U15’s for helping him to win the prestigious Yorkshire Championship Final v Hambleton & Richmond – Josh Walker, Lewis Hobbs, Sam Galloway, Jahmal Smith, Alex Slinn & Danny Broomhead. Well done lads a credit to your city and the Young Owls!
Trial Dates to be announced 1st June
Young Owls U15s & U9s do double
Congratulations to the Young Owls U15s and the Young Owls U9s.
Both teams had a very successful season by doing the double, winning both their respective leagues and cup.
