AGM Date Announced
The Young Owls 2009 Annual General Meeting is to be held on the 30th September 2009 at SWFC’s ground. The meeting will be in the main building (entrance off Park Road) and will commence at 19:30.
All parents/guardians are urged to attend the AGM: whilst the infrastructure of the club has never been stronger, especially with regard to the make up of the Committee, it provides you, as members, with the opportunity to express your views, put forward ideas and select those sitting on the Committee.
All AGM questions are to be submitted in writing at least 14 days beforehand to the Club Secretary, Lesley Bradley, whose address is 13 Hunshelf Road, Chapeltown, Sheffield S35 1UF.
From time to time job opportunities arise within the Young Owls and anyone interested in working with the club can keep informed of vacancies by referring to this website- www.youngowls.com.
With respect to the above, would you please note that Mrs Samantha Doman (first means of contact is 07855 46697) has been elected as Child Welfare Officer (replacing Mrs Lesley Bradley) and Mrs Cheryl Stokes has been elected Club Treasurer.
For the sake of professionalism, all teams will now use the same away and training kit. The away kit has been sponsored by 6 local companies: Composite Cladding Ltd (Eckington), Swan Pub (Ridgeway), Richmond Refractories, Wan Disco, Bellway Kitchens & Vivalda. Whilst we are indebted to all of our Sponsors, and those who identify and arrange them on our behalf, a special thank you goes to Mr. John Shaw for arranging 4 of the 6 away kit sponsors.
Unfortunately the game is still suffering from ugly touchline scenes involving parents. Noting that I am aware that the vast majority attached to the club are of good standing and well behaved, I urge you to desist any confrontation with other parents and match officials and instead leave matters to be dealt with by club staff and thus not put the Committee in the position of having to instigate disciplinary action against members.
